AAFS Camping McLean Creek

You have been registered for the McLean Creek Camping Trip! AAFS will be spending two nights at Maclean Creek Campground, and we couldn't be more excited! 

These days will be spent in the outdoors! Highway 66 around Maclean Creek offers so many activities; Elbow Falls, Fishing, Hiking, Swimming and more! 

We'll meet at the AAFS Clubhouse on Heritage Hill (8228 Macleod Trail SE, above Auto Value) at 4:30 PM and head out to McLean Creek from there.

Please note: if Members wish to bring some spending money, that is encouraged. McLean Creek Campground has a general store, and we may even head into Bragg Creek for some ice cream!

What to bring:

  • Pillow
  • Sleeping Bag
  • Sleeping Mat
  • Swim suit
  • At least 2 changes of clothes
  • At least 2 clean towels
  • Toiletries (Toothbrush, toothpaste, etc...)
  • Sunscreen & Bug spray
  • Flashlight
  • Camping chair
  • Rain jacket
  • Second pair of shoes
  • Warm clothes for night time
  • Backpack
  • Spending money - optional 
  • Snacks - optional (nut free)

Cost: 

  • Camping Fee: $250
  • Respite/Overnight Fee WITH OVERNIGHT FUNDING: 24hr Respite Fee ($184.80) x2 PLUS 5hr Regular Respite Fee
  • Respite/Overnight Fee WITHOUT OVERNIGHT FUNDING: 23hr Regular Respite Fee
  • If you DO have 24hr funding, you will be billed hourly to match the equivalent dollar amount of 24 hour funding. If you have any questions, please contact nancy@aafscalgary.com

If you require medication to be administered at any point in time, please email a med form to John T at jtasker@aafscalgary.com no later than JULY 6, 2024. Failure to submit a completed med form by the appropriate deadline will result in a $25 administration fee. You can access the form here: 2024 Camping and Summer Activity Medication Form

Please remember AAFS is a nut free environment! Please do not send your child with any snacks containing nuts. If you consume nuts prior to an AAFS activity, please wash your hands and brush your teeth! 

All AAFS Programs come with a Fee for Service (FSCD, PDD, or Family billed). If you do not have FSCD or PDD funding, please contact Dean Svoboda- dean@aafscalgary.com
